How to cite a journal article:

You can cite an article as you would any academic journal publication. When citing an article as a bibliographical entry, start with the author's surname, then name; title of the article in quotation marks; name of the journal in italics, KRITIKE; volume number; issue number; month and year of publication; page numbers; then URL of the article.

E.g., Mejia, Melanie P., "Gender Jihad: Muslim Women, Islamic Jurisprudence, and Women's Rights," in KRITIKE: An Online Journal of Philosophy, 1:1 (June 2007), 1-24, < http://www.kritike.org/journal/issue_1/mejia_june2007.pdf >.

When citing an article in your footnotes or endnotes, start with the name of the author; title of the article in quotation marks; name of the journal in italics, KRITIKE; volume number; issue number; month and year of publication; page numbers; then URL of the article.

E.g., Melanie P. Mejia, "Gender Jihad: Muslim Women, Islamic Jurisprudence, and Women's Rights," in KRITIKE: An Online Journal of Philosophy, 1:1 (June 2007), 19, < http://www.kritike.org/journal/issue_1/mejia_june2007.pdf >.
